Coping With Your Abortion

Women feel a range of emotions after an abortion. We know from our experience working with post-abortive women that some struggle with feelings of regret, sorrow, and loss after abortion. If you’re looking to talk about your abortion with women who’ve made the same choice or supported post abortive women, consider taking part in our confidential group class or schedule a private one-on-one appointment with our staff.

Post-Abortion Syndrome (PAS)

If you are feeling depressed or having negative thoughts about a past abortion, you may be suffering from PAS. Post-Abortion Syndrome is a form of PTSD (post-traumatic stress syndrome) that can affect women after an abortion.

Some common symptoms associated with Post-Abortion Syndrome include:

  • Guilt
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Feel numb or apathetic
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Obsessive thinking

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please consider reaching out to us to make an appointment for our post-abortive care services.
